The draft is the proverbial needle in a haystack. 2/3 of the 1st rd picks will either become outright busts or be overpaid, below average starters and after the 4th rd teams will lucky to find 6 players who can become above average starters...think about that 6 out of 550/600 players..
basically 1/2 to 2/3 in a bad draft year of 2nd rd picks will become busts maybe 24 players drafted in rds 3 &4 will make it as solid starters and might as well buy a lottery ticket as pretend your 5th/udfa picks will ever start
after round 1&2 teams are just hoping to draft a few solid backups and sub package players...occasionally they get lucky and get a good player not often..except for Newsome he seems to have a knack
