As you say, he's already #2. And he's BEEN #2 for 6 games now. How anyone can think that he hasn't been ready to come in as #2 until now is just plain silly. Are we to think that Goff has improved from a not ready #2 to a now ready #2? That would mean Fisher would have intentionally kept a better player, one who was ready, inactive (Mannion) for 6 games, just so Goff didn't look bad in street clothes. What if Keenum got hurt like he did against Balt last year?
Boras says Goff is ready to play now based on what he is showing on practice field and the classroom. That means if Fisher DECIDES to start Goff, then Goff can handle it.
Now maybe Boras is reading a Fisher BS coach speak script and maybe they aren't comfortable with Goff playing yet. That could be cause Fisher is like that.
