not you, I was responding to his post.
As far as bad drafting, the Spags era was mind numbing, linehan was awful and martz...well...Trung, do I need to say more.
So yeah, they are not as bad as previous years, but they need to draft better because windows for winning in the NFL are small and you just don't have 4 to 5 years to develop LTs and WRs and OGs anymore.
See though there's another aspect to this.
On the OL anyway, they did build a good line. By any criteria anyone wants to use, the 2013 OL was pretty effective. They made a runner out of Stacy, which no one else has been able to do, and they were a decently effective play action offense with them. But they built it through free agency, which is why you won't see corresponding draft picks for it. In fact GR was not supposed to start right away...he was going to play guard next to Long and then take over for Long eventually.
What wrecked the 2013 OL was a combination of injuries and then everyone in the league overpaying for their free agents. Most of whom never did anything since (except Barksdale).
So just looking at the draft won't account for that.
They didn't start building the OL through the draft in earnest until 2015. And...IMO it's too soon to say how they did at that.
