I think that's true. Cocky and outspoken guys who exude confidence are typically 'take control' guys'. Natural leaders. Some of the more reserved guys, despite not being extroverts, also display confidence by being studious, calm, and all-business. That comes across in their interviews too. You may have some concerns about Goff from his early interviews with the Rams, and with some of his body language in this new environment, but that's fading really, really quickly. Every day that he becomes more comfortable with his surroundings, and becomes more intelligent about the system, his demeanor changes. He's looking more sure of himself now, and (to me) looks really anxious to get out there and put all of this studying and practice to work. He also stands with his hands on his hips and actually spits on the ground during the interview. I'm not a professional psychologist or anything, but that typically depicts a display of dominance.

You don't have to be a Richard to get your point across. Waterfield's a good dude and he didn't even remotely insult you. All he said was that we have no (actual) idea what Goff's mental makeup truly is, and that he thought he came across as a little immature based on our only exposure to him (Hard Knocks). Since Goff was a 21 year old (at the time), and appeared to display some beta male tendencies, that's exactly how it looked to me too. Now, however, I'm seeing some Alpha male come out in him, so it was probably just a product of his assimilation into this new environment (the NFL) - which is pretty huge in its own right.
