Love to see Mannion in the game.
Here's a 'perverse thought'. If Keenum is doing it right - pre-snap reads, audibles, and it's the WR's blowing it, and Mannion and Goff unable to do it... seems to me it 'could' be better to have a QB in the game that's on the same page as the WR's. Might get a QB throwing to an actual player on the field and not an "X" on a blackboard.
Yet another perverse thought.... well, this isn't perverse, it's just very very intriguing to me. Mannion is not only not well liked by many on this board but considered a waste, Many felt his talents coming in to the NFL weren't there, (not an NFL Q
... and I think none who expressed that have changed their minds. They could be right... but here's what makes this personally intriguing for me...
What they have said Mannion is doesn't match up with what I believe I've seen of him SINCE being on the Ram's roster. So in a semi-perverse way I'd like to find out.
And for what it's worth - "What I have seen in Mannion". If we each defined what a rookie QB looks like we'd get as many different definitions as posters defining what a rookie QB looks like. So without going into the 'definition'... Mannion looked to me to fit a 'rookie QB' almost perfectly. IOW... making those mistakes I would expect from a rookie, (especially one playing a system he is not that familiar with)... but as far as 'physical talent' he looked to me to be fine, and I think maybe better than 'fine'. - JamesJM
