If Fish is smart he is so "Case, case, case" so that Carolina Doesn't prepare for Goff.....is he that smart? I think so.....but, well, the Fish doesn't believe in Goff I guess.
It has nothing to do with believing or not believing in Goff. It's not that extreme.
Vast majority of rookie qbs struggle. Naming some exceptions, in case anyone is tempted to do that, won't work---the overwhelming percentage of them struggle. That's just the odds and how they work.
So the coach is put in a position where he has to choose between win now mode or accept the losses for the future mode.
It really has nothing to do with any other consideration. There's nothing in this story like "doesn't believe in the rookie." He traded up for the rookie, he believes in him.
But RIGHT NOW, he is apparently choosing win now mode.
UNLESS as you suggest, that's a smoke screen.
It wouldn't be much of a smoke screen though because any team in the league can easily find out who is taking the most reps with the number ones in practices leading up to a game. So, no one would be fooled by that.
....
But here's the thing, zn.
We aren't winning now. Lol.
But the coach thinks they aren't out of it yet and that they CAN win.
Which I like. I like coaches who aren't quitters that way. And who don't panic (like some fans do) at 3-4.
Tell me, 43...everything I said is just so plainly obvious. Why not think of it on your own?
