First I tend to agree with the sentiment of the subject post -and that's how I look at it now. It's just entertainment to me. It also reminds me of what the once great center fielder of the Dodgers said during the 60s and early 70s-Willie Davis after asked about making a bunch of errors responded: "Well its not my wife and its not my life". That's how I feel about the Rams. If they do good I'm excited. If they do bad its "aw shucks". Personally, I think people identify too much with teams-so naturally if a team does poorly they take it personally because part of themselves has failed.
"OTOH" a message board likes this does give a "fan" room to vent. And god only knows what happens to those who have no way to vent their frustration and anger. I've been there and done that. If I go outside screaming like a maniac about a CK interception my neighbors -who are outside enjoying the day-all run into their homes thinking I'm some kind of dangerous animal. Better and more socially acceptable to take it out on people I've never met and will not meet.
Well ok, to you there is no big emotional investment in the Rams and you can go "aw shucks" if they lose.
And to some others there's a huge emotional investment. And then there's everything in between.
But the thing is no matter 'what' kind of investment you have in the Rams, i just dont understand why anyone has to bring up
other POSTERS. Ya know.
I mean why is it after a loss, some folks go after POSTERS who happen to like Fisher or whatever. I mean....what IS that? Why blame your fellow POSTERS for thinking something different?
I just dont get it. There shouldnt be all this insulting of pro-fisher posters or anti-fisher posters or any posters. It should never come up. Yes? No? I mean this is just "posting 101" stuff aint it.
....Granted, it goes without saying that the posters who liked Merlin Olsen are pond @#$%&.
