I'm not judging those who are content with the 3-3 Rams, in the 5th year of a stable Fisher regime.
But I'm also not with you.
Speaking only for myself, being able to accept the situation doesn't mean I'm 'content'. It just means that I'm aware of my limitations with regard to being able to control the situation. Specifically, I
have no control of the situation. Once I was able to get to that point, I was able to enjoy the game again. I'm able to appreciate good football when I see it, and I'm able to kind of analyze the losses when football
isn't so good. Shaking my fists at the heavens isn't going to change the present. Won't change the future either. So to me, it simply comes down to choice. Rage against the Fisher machine, or wait for games where a scrappy backup QB throws for 300+ and 3 TDs, runs one in, and has an 84% completion percentage with a 10.0 YPA. That was fun to watch. Yeah, they lost. But my quality of life remains the same regardless. Maybe it also has to do with priorities. I just don't prioritize someone else's achievements as important in the grand scheme of things. And that's after 35+ years of watching this team do its thing. Sure it's fun when they excel, but I'm no worse off if they don't. I simply get to experience *more* joy the more often they play well and win. It's entertainment. Making it more than that will always leave you wanting.
All that said, I would prefer it if the Rams gave me more entertainment. So in that, I am not content.
After all, people do like to be entertained.
I tend to agree with all that.
Plus....posting should be fun. Ya know. Posters oughta
enjoy each other. Different views on Fisher (and everything else) oughta be encouraged / enjoyed.
I mean, we are not marsupials.
