He's a backup. That's where he belongs, but today he played as well as you'd expect any good starter to play, which backups will do from time to time. Especially when they face poor defenses. It's okay to say it.

I agree w/90% of what you say here, but see no reason for qualification. Everyone understands that he's not the guy we want leading this team in the long run.

There isn't a QB in this league, by which I obviously mean to point to the elite ones, for whom Keenum's day wouldn't be a very good one. Even against the Lions.

27-32, 317, 3 TD throwing, 1 TD rushing, 1 int.

A QB w/that line probably wins 97% of the time.
