Who would have ever guessed he'd be setting franchise passing records like 19 consecutive completions?
Still, it's important to consider that even though he did his job as well as could be hoped, much of it was the result of the Lions defense being absolutely awful. I found myself wondering if the Lions DC (Teryl Austin) even watched Rams game film because he sure didn't scheme for them as if he did.
So, even though everything went about as well as anybody could have hoped offensively for the Rams today, the defense once again let down in a big way, which has been their MO for years now.
