First this was the Detroit Lions pass defense who were 22nd in the league.
He played very well all things considered until the clock struck midnight and they needed him to play his best.
The reason I am knocking him down so far on that play because the throw was inexcusable.
Lance was blanketed by 2 defenders with another one in the area.
If he had properly read the coverage he would have found other receivers WIDE OPEN! He had protection!!
That was a rookie throw, to borrow the term.
It was a BUM'S throw.
It was akin to Sean Hill throwing the game ending INT against the Chargers when he had Benny wide open.
But that's what you get with scrubs at qb.
