I certainly didn't see them that way going into Sunday. But I just bring it up since as I look at the sites that do more analytical rankings they have the Bills rated 8th (FootballOutsiders), 8th (TeamRankings.com) and 13th (PFF) overall.
Again not that the Rams didn't partly shoot themselves in the foot and underperform. But also just maybe they played one of the teams in the upper 1/3 of the league and one of the tougher opponents on their schedule.
It doesn't matter. They outplayed Buffalo in a lot of respects and only lost because turnovers led directly or indirectly to 13 points for the opposition. Even with all their issues, injuries, and struggles with this or that aspect of the game, in the end they just beat themselves.
I actually said before the game that Buffalo was a bigger test than Arizona was. If nothing else they have a very tough defense when it comes to points allowed. In fact they're ranked 5th in that right now according to PFR, and that was with a bad game where they gave up 37 points to the Jets.
In the previous 3 games the Rams fought and scrapped and found a way to win. And that was WITH a healthy DL. In this one they fought and scrapped WITHOUT a healthy DL but handed the other team 13 points on turnovers. 20, if you count the botched fake punt, which gave them the ball in scoring distance.
