Clearly, they're gonna exercise their 5th year option. That locks him up through '18.

Then they could franchise tag him. Maybe for 2 years, even. That keeps him through '20.

Meanwhile, from his pov, what if he's seriously injured at any point? I mean, there IS a lot of value to him if he signs a guarantee laden contract from a personal financial pov.

I think it will all be worked out to everybody's satisfaction. A win win thing.
