Yes he does. Guaranteed money and immediate money. Football is a rough sport and players can't guarantee health or long careers.
And how can his stock go higher? Would it be any higher if he won DPOY this year? I don't think so. He can ask to be the highest-paid defensive player in the game if he wants to - and get it.
