Rams WR Brian Quick has officially redeemed himselfBy Alden Gonzalez
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Perhaps it isn't much of a stretch to suggest that if not for a couple of injuries suffered by a couple of rookie receivers, Brian Quick wouldn't be on this team.
That's what makes the past couple games so encouraging.
Quick scored the Los Angeles Rams' first touchdown of the season on the opening drive of Week 3, when he hauled in a 44-yard pass from Case Keenum on a post route. He added two touchdowns in the 17-13 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, including the winning score. One was a simple out route that turned into a 65-yard touchdown after Quick made a lunging grab, snuck past a couple over-eager defenders and went untouched to the end zone. The other was a 4-yard leaping catch that gave the Rams the lead seconds before the two-minute warning.
Quick used the words "phenomenal" and "epic" to describe his team's latest win. The past two games, Quick said, have meant "a lot" to him personally. He was asked if there was added motivation from all the doubt that surrounded him.
