I do think some of it is teams knowing our tendencies, which is why we aren't seeing the Rams run game catching teams in stunts and odd fronts. But regardless if the OL and to a larger extent the skill guys would do a better job executing their blocks Gurley would be burning defenses already.
What makes TGII so valuable is he doesn't need to be schemed heavily like we see with Tavon. He can beat dudes with speed, break tackles, etc. Problem is the other 9 guys around him not making blocks consistently. When that happens he is going to light things up. And it starts with the OL.
And speaking of the OL, they have done a respectable job in pressures thus far in the passing game. Not perfect, but solid and much better than previous seasons. The Cards are gonna test the F out of that too, so here's hoping they execute in the run game today.
