I love Arians. I'd take him over Fisher in a heartbeat.
Teams go through rough spots. Zona is a really talented team. But they are long in the tooth in two places: WR and QB. I don't know if age is finally catching up to Palmer and Fitzgerald or if it has nothing to do with it.
The keys for this game do NOT all lie in the defense. Yes, of course, the Dline needs to pressure the stationary Palmer. And they need to take Fitzgerald out of play by double teaming him wherever possible. But Zona's RB is no slouch.
The Rams are going to have to score points on offense. They're going to have to stay close to Zona in time of possession. If they don't convert 3rd downs at least as a 50% clip, and if the Rams Receivers don't stop dropping the ball, the Rams have little chance in the game.
Arizona and Arians is going to be mad and focused after their a$$ whipping last week. Road games are darn tough, and despite the win, the Rams offense still looks wimpy.
I'm hoping that either one of/or both Cooper and Spruce can play. Spruce especially can help us on 3rd down.
Cooper is a play maker and this game is NOT going to be a slugfest. It will be physical for sure; but points WILL be scored. No 9 to 3 final score here.
NOT a game prediction ( I just won't do that any more): but if the Rams offense looks bad, and they get their butts kicked, this is a set up for Goff to start at home the following Sunday. That said, if I was the HC, I'd start him on a road game where the pressure is so much less. But I'm not the HC, am I?
