None of those things you list would bother me or stop me from playing Goff. In fact, it terrifies me that Goff would be so fragile as to have that cause him to implode... NOT that player imploding can't happen.. but I think when that does happen it's more than just what's happening on the field during games.
Different players respond differently, as we all know. Some players have to be scolded while other's will come apart IF scolded. Some have to be coddled, some have to have constant reassurance while others prefer to just be left alone. That's part of coaching... they have to learn that about each individual... and that's more "Assistants" than the HC, by the way... or at least that's what I think. I seriously doubt if in the 'psych' department Fisher himself has anything to do with it at all.
If they are waiting for the rest of the team to come around, (and they very well could be)... well, couple thoughts. 1st, that could take a while. 2nd, IMHO it's happened - in this last game. Good separation by our receivers, not bad protection... of course, maybe they have to see that twice in a row, or 3 or 4 times in a row.
I agree about this: I think you are probably right in that what you describe is what they are doing... I just think it's overly cautious... and worry that it has the potential to be counter-effective. Players like to feel like they are part of the team... through the good AND the bad. - JamesJM
