I understand that rookie WRs rarely contribute all that much.
But I think Spruce and Cooper (Spruce especially) could help us out. Spruce for his crisp route running, football instincts, and glue for hands. Guy is just a player.
Cooper because he is a serious RAC threat and just has that playmaker's instincts.
The problem remains, in my estimation, scheme and the lack of commitment to the passing game.
And, yes, QB play. Keenum is not dirt, but he is a borderline NFL starter. I'd love to see the Rams keep him around as a long term backup. He has moxy. The ball in many cases just needs to get there faster. There's two ways that happens: releasing it on time, and speed of the ball. Right now Keenum will release the ball sooner than Goff due to experience. But speed of the ball? No comparison. Goff's ball flies like an arrow.
But can our butter fingered Receivers catch something with some heat as opposed to something on the end of the parachute?
And yes, Britt has played pretty well.....better than I had hoped for.
