I don't know if that's on Keenum or Boras/Fisher...

The Ram's changed up.. during the game. I don't remember exactly 'when', if there was a specific moment... but early on, perhaps the entire first half, it was just as Young described last week.

It was obvious that the play was designed to be instant... someone else recently said that the Ram's passing game is actually a running game... it is... or was in game 1 and the first part of game 2.

But that leads to part two of yesterday's game... Britt was open deep on more than one occasion... he didn't even get a glance from Keenum. Happened with other receivers as well. I don't think any receiver more than 10yds deep on a route is an option, open or not, unless his name is specifically called in the huddle. Or - Keenum is simply playing what he considers extremely 'safe'.

Yes, watching him live was revealing, to me anyway. Wilson had a bad day... but the energy and 'all options available' on every play were quite easy to see... especially compared to the far more plodding and 'here no matter what' play of the Rams.

It's become almost cliche to say Keenum is a good 'placeholder' and will do until Goff, (or that other guy, his name escapes me), is ready. I no longer think so. Like everyone else on the board I don't want to see Goff out there until he's ready... but I'm convinced he could outplay Keenum right now, even with rookie mistakes... same with the 'other guy'. And saying that is not even CLOSE to saying that I think Goff or the other guy is 'franchise'.

Keenum is too quick to get rid of the ball

Speed_Kills237September 19, 2016 08:57AM

I would think he is coached to do that

He is no doubt coached, but also it is in his DNA
