Well, it is IMPOSSIBLE to play worse. But, they were embarrassed on national TV. They are NOW the laughing stock of the NFL. Every news outlet in the country is going to poke fun at them. If they don't play substantially better the season is LOST, plain and simple.
In actuality, I expected a very sub par year, never thought they would be that feeble.
Reality is this, many on this board drastically overrate the talent of this team and I have believed for years they have been the worst coached team in the NFL. All that being said, how are they going to make a major stride forward? What can really change? THEY ARE A BAD FOOTBALL TEAM. I will still tune in every week and sit through this misery. I predicted 7-9 and I thought I was being extremely generous. Can't even imagine that at this point. More like 3-13, 4-12.
My only hope at this point is to not get any major injuries to the talent on this team. Also, I don't want to see Goff play the entire season. What is he going to learn from this staff? It will be a new coaching staff and offense next season anyway. Stay healthy, learn what you can from watching opposing QB's up close. Work on fundamentals on your own. Work on nutrition and strength training. Learn how to prepare for opponents. But, on the field with this bunch, NO THANKS.
I would like to see Mannion from this point forward. Not sure what we have there with him? I know what we have with CK, not much.
I thought the O would be slightly improved and the D would regress to the bottom half of the NFL. If the Rams would've played the Steelers last night, the score mightve been 56-0. The Rams don't have the LB's or DB's to play a base nickel D. They have a good front 4 and that's where it ends. My 7-9 prediction looks generous right now.
