There is a reason someone uses the names of Warner or Brees instead of Hoyer or Mallet or Davis or other 3rd string level guys getting a chance to start. I mean, one could easily compare Matt McGloin and Case Keenum but it isn't going to artificially inflate the perception of Keenum's, is it?

I understand the comparison with Warner or Brees, in the right situation Case maybe better than expected. Rightfully so other low round or undrafted free agents who have succeeded could have been be used. In the end maybe Case turns out more like Hoyer who has had some/limited success.

Just because situations appear similar it isn't being inked or said that the result will be the same.
