Look. To me, comparisons like this are pointless. Each player matures differently and with different needs. Each team has a different situation. Coaching staffs have different philosophies and approaches. There is no earthly reason why the development curve for 2 great young talents will be identical.
As I have said before, the TEST of Goff as a pick and the Rams' development of Goff is not the first months of season 1. It just isn't.
Then, we hear of a stat about Goff being the first #1 since a guy who was a bust ...
So what? Lots of #1 picks have started in the interval and a fair number of them weren't ready and didn't do well. Who says that's the only way to go?
You guys know I am no fan of Fisher. But this sort of comparison criticism is absurd.
