I think he just lacked the primary thing GW is looking for. I never saw an ability to be a strong hitter as the last line of defense with him. You have to have both IMO which is what they got last year in McLeod. And it took 4 years for him to develop to that level.
With the guys they are plugging in now, I’m afraid we’ll see a return to the blown coverage huge plays given up like we saw in 2013 and 2014.
Fortunately, I’m getting the feeling that the front 7 is better and faster than ever! That may cover weaknesses on the backside.
