Those 1970's teams were the best years for a Rams fan. But all of those playoff losses left this Rams fan a mess going back to school after Christmas vacation and having to face ridicule.
I think this article gave some good insights into the character of the team: very good, but kept themselves from greatness because of flaws that their competing teams were able to avoid. The defense was hands down great. The offense good, but one sided (I wish Harris would have had better support and more time with the team). The special teams had flaws compared to the Vikes and Cowboys. Bottom line: very good but not quite enough.
