As stated, he isn't absolved of all of his sins, but his supporting cast this preseason has done him no favors at all. Even the much vaunted Higgs just fell off the map after a solid start.

I find the accountability on this team lacking.

It's been a nice, fun off-season. Lights, camera, action. Obviously Goff is under the stress and its going a 100 miles an hour for him right now. But he's not the only one in that frame of mind. Add a crop of late pick rookies and FA guys with a two year leader at RB and and you have a green, green crew around this kid right now. The expectations from some people on him to harness and execute this 2nd string crew is pretty funny. I don't think there was ever a serious attempt by Fish to make that happen under these circumstances and this entire plot you see unfolding is very much by design. A good portion of the guys we are counting on are fresh off the boat guys and it's just not going to gell this season. I think Snisher very much knows that and has proceeded accordingly. Still, I see a kid that can hit a receiver. He just needs to put the pieces together and have a crew around him that can execute the play.
