1. Not a big Weinke fan either, but let's be honest some of the greatest coaches weren't very good players.
2. Hind sight is 20/20 but I believe Fisher never had any intention of Goff starting week 1.
A. Not enough time with the ones
B. Not enough playing time in preseason with the ones.
C. How do you prove yourself worthy of starting when you're playing with a bunch of 2's and 3's that can't catch the damn ball.
D. How do you prove yourself worthy of being a pocket qb when your o line gives up instant pressure.
3. I think Fisher never ever gave Goff a fair shake at acquiring the starting job.
A. He should have started the 2nd preseason game with the 1's.
B. The 1's should have been in there into the 3rd quarter of the Denver game with Goff and then let Mannion mop up.
4. But, look on the bright side.
A. We will either have a winning record and Goff will be waiting in the wings.
B. Or after we start 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 or whatever. Fisher will be gone at the end of the year most likely.
