The key point is that it's HOW they throw deep. It's bland, simple, and easily defended..

And yet they have a good completion percentage. So it (meaning the long pass) can't be "easily defended" because it regularly works. Plus they don't just "throw long"--it is a calculated core part of their entire offensive approach, has been for a couple of years, and they use it to good effect.

"Bland" is subjective, I can't debate it. That's you expressing a subjective view. It's how you see it, personally. So there's nothing to go back and forth on regarding the facts with that. It's your 2 cents.

My 2 cents is different. I think of the great play action set-ups where someone from Britt to Kendricks to even Harkey is wide open. That's calculated and methodically set up.

In contrast to you I think the issue with the Fisher offense has been having no qbs, then a shakey OL, and then third...problems at WR. But it hasn't been design.
