Cunningham and Brown are just too good to let them sit on the bench while Gurley gets the bulk of the carries. Aaron Green as well.
I'm not sure Gurley will have the opportunity to break Eric Dickerson's record because of these guys. Rams are fortunate to have a stable of running backs who can all start in this league and be productive.
Also, I think the Rams passing offense is really going to come alive this season.
Grits
I think we saw that last year, and with the depth behind Gurley appearing to be better than last year I think we can expect that. Not least, Fisher hopes/wants to be in a position in the 4th quarter where a relatively fresh Gurley can dominate against a defensive front 7 worn down over the course of the first 3 quarters.
The big caveat - at least, I hope it's a big caveat - is: what best suits Gurley? Some back want to be workhorses, not simply because they like hogging the carries, but because they become more comfortable - and better -- w/more carries. Other guys are all-out/full-go and do better w/rest between stints.
