I wouldn't be so hard on yourself though, if I were you.
For one thing, Brown has been a VERY pleasant surprise for a lot of us. Even Alyo, I bet.
And we all have those players that we were "wrong" about. Some of those players that we really liked simply disappointed. Others that we paid little attention have simply blossomed.
As an aside, I don't share your optimism for Chase Reynolds' chances of making the 53 this year. I'm thinking that his roster spot will be just too valuable and will be used for a player that they really, really like that has a future as a possible starter at some position group. Besides, didn't I read that CR only had 4 tackles on ST last year? About one fourth as many as Marquez? Sooooo...
