LMU93
I think it's more a matter of adjusting his technique at times. In 3-LB situations where he's in the middle it is more about getting lower, his feet, etc. vs. the run-and-chase from the WLB spot. Which is what they showed Singletary focusing on with him. Not that he didn't know the defense.
But I also think that given the Rams, like most teams, play so much nickel that 2/3 of the time they're going to be in 2-LB sets which he's very used to.
Ogletree was off to a tremendous start in the first four games of 2015. I think he'll be fine at MLB.
I hope you're right, 93. I really do.
But just because a baseball player is a great 2nd baseman, doesn't mean that he will be a great 3rd baseman. Or left fielder.
Look, nothing would make me happier than to be completely wrong about my MLB concerns regarding Tree. But he has to win me over before I can completely relax.
