This defense has looked exactly as it always has in the preseason...sloppy and disinterested and yes... Often like they are trying not to get hurt
I think they know what they are doing with Gaines and should make sure that they have him back for when it counts. Like you I would like to see more of Hill

Rams 1st team defense needs to be settled and have a good showing against Denver. This is very important game in that way. 1st team defense has been sketchy at best so far.
I think EJ Gaines and or Troy Hill need to get playing time at the other corner position with the 1st team.
