I remember Coach saying he didn't want a game won by 48-0 and no penalties because they would not have anything to work with to get better. I heard players after the game saying that they are glad to have things to work on....

Here comes my problem with this thought process....Why not want a great game where you kick a$$ and play an almost perfect game to start out? (I'm not saying it is probable in anyway).....by why not ask for that from the get go?

Players then come in and echo the coach....I am afraid that this team will never take over responsibility.....they have a built in statement for messing up.....

What is wrong with expecting a 48-0 game with zero flags? It will not happen but if it did does does that mean you can't go farther in your wants?.....It looks to me like a team that just wants to do this and wants to do that but for this or the other it never pans out.....

If you have been at the bottom or close to the bottom or just in the middle you NEED to make a real move.....play great and continue to the next level....Demand the best from the start and get better from there.....Injuries aside (I'm tired of using that excuse)....

Our 1st string got it handed to them......the players who won that game ....some of them will be lucky to make the team...some will go to practice squad.....very few will make the real roster...IMO.

Then all I hear is from vets saying they are glad they have things to work on.....If I were them I would have kept my mouth shut....and been ashamed of my play.......not glad to have things to work on....those are statements of guys who follow in the statements of the HC....

It was just a 1st game and I get that...but as every year I ask to see better play.....but they just seem to come out of that gate a very slow horse.....and they end up in 3rd place/4th place with saying they are better than that.....

I hope that it becomes real this year...but again hearing the non want of perfection from the get go makes me think they are just ready to make a sleeping giant lay.....but talk a big game.....

Sorry for the negative thoughts..but I am just tired of this same thing playing out every year for the past decade and more....
