I'm sorry to bring this up here... I'm hoping someone here has some knowledge in this area and can make some recommendations.
Topic: Shoulder separation and BRACES for such an injury.
My oldest grandson dislocated his shoulder last year and had surgery 8 months ago. It went well, he followed his therapy religiously. His doctors said it's very stable, full range of motion, perhaps as good as new.
So 'contact' is beginning for High School ball. My grandson is excited and just received word he has a chance, an excellent one, at a college with a very good football program, (not Div I, he's not at that level). He knows he has to perform this year but he's experiencing some 'soreness' in the shoulder. He's scheduling an MRI just to be sure but the Doctors say soreness right now is 'normal' and that's all they think it is.
So... we want to get him a shoulder brace to wear WHILE playing... he's a WR so full range of movement is a must - combined with as much support as possible.
I've done some research but frankly I'm lost... we're looking for the 'best'. If you have any expertise in this I would be extremely grateful for you input. Thanks. - JamesJM
