the rams also drafted isiah pead, zac stacy, tre mason, todd gurley. by addressing a single position with multiple picks you strengthen not only the starter but also the depth. snead has talked about it numerous times. they did a similar thing 2 years ago with oline. its unlikely that all of those guys will pan it. in terms of mannion and goff, obviosuly the odds are in goff's favor. however if he falls flat on his face, perhaps mannion rises like cousins did with the redskins.
I fully expected the rasm to draft a qb in the first even with foles and mannion on the team. i didnt know they would trade up, but i am more then fine with the decision. imo this team is a qb away from being very good. hopefully, goff will be the guy.
