He had the talent and ability to be mentioned among the best of all time and being in the discussion or setting the bar for best ever. He ended up not even being the best during the time he played, maybe top 3 or 4, and in large part because he didn't try as hard as he could have.
Money mattered more.
Lots of people don't like that kind of thing, me among them.
Again, playing hardball in contract negotiations doesn't automatically equate to what you're condemning him for.

No, that's what you imagine. Just because a player isn't a workout freak, doesn't mean he's mailing it in or not trying.
Aside from all of that, is this really the time or thread to be expressing all the negativity? Even if you're completely right, as a Rams fan on a Rams board, do you think it's the time and place to express those thoughts?
