Totally agree on Carmel not stacking up to other parts of the US. We're still Indiana not California! Definitely some nice people there but also some real pieces of work. I've been living in the area for 23 years and have met all kinds of people through my kids sports teams, work, etc. and Carmel and Zionsville definitely like to do things their own way. Noblesville, Fishers, and Westfield are great places to live with a little more down to earth feel IMHO.
Let me tell, 20 years ago there was nothing in Fishers but farm fields. Now look at Fishers.
Noblesville will do the same unfortunately, so enjoy it while you have it. Fishers was known as one of the best places to live in the US back about 15 years ago. Since then the population has exploded! Still like it though! Better than where I had to grow up.
