Yeah it's dumb that OT and IL are considered the same, but as long as that's the case franchising an interior linemen is insane.

Thing is we have a great design that we can apply.

Sign him 5 years... do more back loading of the deal and guarantee the first half. Then if he is a perennial pro bowler it's still worth it 4 years down the line. If not? We cut him after 3.
