When OBJ went down with injury on Sunday, I knew that we were in for a dogfight. But I thought that we were in good position to absorb the loss due to: A) the defensive opponent; and, B ) Van Jefferson's talent and seasoning (he played well in last year's Divisional Round playoff game).
And he got his opportunities too as Stafford went to him (and Skowronek) multiple times in the late-2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters before forcing the issue to Kupp.
And yet, HE.COULD.NOT.WIN. No separation...no contested grabs.
This was very disappointing as I thought his ability to hold off Jackson for snaps early on in the season (forcing him to leave) meant that he'd taken that next step.
I was wrong.
Or maybe HE DID take that next step and simply show that he's nothing more than a #3 WR?
Just wondering if something else was on his mind.
