In a week the Rams are going to be 7-1. Whoda' thunk it?

Of all the bad teams the Rams have played, Houston might be the worst.
The Rams get them next week and it's hard to imagine the Rams don't win that game by at least 10 points, probably quite a bit more.

Point is: the Rams will almost certainly be 7-1 at the "half-way" point, which is better by at least 1 win than anyone I know or read thought they'd be (myself included). They are in a great position to have 13 wins (or more) in the 2nd half of the season. The addition of Stafford has made a significant difference.

It's nice to see San Fran and Seattle flailing around. I don't see either righting the ship except perhaps incrementally. The Card's and Ram's lead in the division may not be insurmountable on paper, but San Fran and Seattle would need a lot of help to overcome it, and I doubt that's in the cards without some significant injuries in key positions to the both the teams above them.

As for the NFC overall, pretty clearly it is the Cards, Rams, Pack, Cowboys (Yuk), and Bucs that are the elite. The other teams have pretty severe flaws that are highly unlikely to be overcome.
