Last season how many OL starters did we draft? 2
Whit, Corbett and Austin were not drafted by us. That means the majority of our line was signed, picked up, acquired.
When you look at the drafts such as Noteboom, Allen, etc. and you see we still are starting guys we picked up the trash heap over them, maybe the front office realized they are better at pro scouting Offensive linemen than drafting them.
Obviously Whit was a no brainer, but then again, his old team let him go, so I guess it was not so clear.
But Corbett and Blythe were not big names. Not saying they are all stars, but they are starting over our draft picks.
Seems like this will be the year we really test our draft picks from the past, but since it was easy to service the line in other cheap ways maybe the lack of drafting any the last two years is overblown.
I was also surprised and disappointed they did not draft any, but then realized that 3 of the 5 did not get drafted by us either and calmed down.
