Sports writers that write about the draft always seem to know the hot names and not much after that. I rely on our draft experts on this board especially for the guys beyond the 1st round.
Same thing goes with individual teams. The local writers seem to know the "well known" players and know little about those players who aren't household names or long time proven starters.
To say the Rams have "holes" at ILB and OLB is to ignore that Barron returns as a starter, that Littleton played in every game and acquitted himself very well, that Longacre might have led the OLBs in sacks if you look at minutes played versus sacks in that amount of time, and Ekuban really flashed as a rookie and played solidly.
We picked up Ramik Wilson who has 4 years league experience and double digit starts for KC at ILB.
And, if we really wanted to we could probably return Connor Barwin at a low cost.
Could we use more at those positions? Sure. Do we have a bunch of All-Pros at those positions? No. But the cupboard is not bare even though some bolstering and a search for another good edge rusher should never end.
But using the terms "holes" as though we don't enough players or we don't have any starters is too sensational a term.
