"What we want, and what we need, has been confused, been confused."

Right now, I'd say we don't NEED anything else on offense. We have all of our starters coming back, with the exception of Cooper Kupp and, if you consider a WR3 a starter, Demarcus Robinson. Everyone else returns, and we've added a potential starter in Coleman Shelton.
That's not to say we don't or can't have things that we WANT to add to the offense. Another deep threat WR, OL depth, an upgrade at TE, and a home run threat at RB are all things we can aspire to obtain. But, in my opinion, we don't NEED any of these things to contend.
On defense, by contrast, we do have some NEEDS.
We NEED at least one starting-caliber ILB.
We NEED a CB who can match up with bigger WRs.
And, unless you think Brennan Jackson is that guy, I'd say we NEED another rotational pass rusher to replace Michael Hoecht.
So... when it comes to projecting the draft, I'm still looking at how we obtain the best players at each spot, but I think we also have to fill a couple of remaining NEEDS.
