Events have forced him to be so, but I sense that he’s always been smart about constantly re-evaluating his D and its personnel. I think he personifies creating a system to fit talent of his personnel.
No question that his tweaking has produced steady improved results and I suspect that this will continue throughout the remaining season. This D is gonna be downright respectable by December and no OC is gonna want to deal with it.
Shula is looking like another great McVay hire/promotion to me. I expect that Shula will be getting needed player assets come next offseason. Forced to deal with all the youth and only 20% of cap dollars this year? Really?
