And he is correct.....This Ram team is only going to get better and better with each passing week.
Why?
When this offense is healthy, they SCORE POINTS!
Then defensively, it allows Shula to be a little more aggressive to put pressure on the QB....Which is what I think McVay wants to do as a HC.....He wants to have an attacking defense and I'm sure he and Shula sit back and watch film to see how they can keep getting pressure on the QB.
Thanks for posting it 43!
Shula was getting some "heat" here on the board those first few weeks. Seemed a bit early to be concerned when it was logical to think that a first time DC along with some good young talent would only get better as the season went on.
I mentioned a few time that if Verse could've finished more of those pressures, they would be calling Shula a genius and we would be in first place.
Not saying Shula will be the next big thing. Just saying I like what I saw in Preseason and I like how he and the defense seemed to have improved so quickly. I fully expect there to be some bumps in the road the rest of the year due to bad calls, bad execution and lack of experience which can be used a "learning tool".
One thing Shula has going for him is his pedigree and tutelage under some very good defensive minds and that is a big advantage in his favor.
I will root for Shula and this defense because I like the style of play and they energy they play with. I think the best is yet to come!

#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
