Jones and the Rams disagree on compensation. What's the market for him? I guess that's something that will come to light and then they can proceed accordingly. The Rams don't have to trade him just because there is a partner. They can also insist that he play under the current contract if they don't trade him and then he is a free agent next year.
Seems like the Rams are in a no lose scenario, other than it would be disappointing to lose Jones. A draft pick likely does them no good this season and likely they wouldn't find someone better than they already have on the roster in a trade.
PFF has Jones rated 30th ILB although they say he would rank higher if he was better in coverage. I think he is underrated but replaceable.
