Tom Mack -- if he moved it was imperceptible

Wasn't it Pat Curran?

Sorry to nitpick.

[youtu.be]
But the penalty was called on Mack by the official but Curran flinchd but Rams said after the game that Vikings' DL Bob Lurtsema moved first ... but Alan Page went screaming to the reg "That guard moved" over and over and then the refs finally made the call. Also worth noting is that Rams thought Cappy scored on the play that put it on the 1-yards line (8 inch line) ... Rams say Cappeletti ran for 2 and got ball in end zone.

Rams just were awful that day -- McCutcheon fumbled in 1st Q, Klein got caught holding, Harris hit Iman with a pass--illegal touching then threw a pick next play.

In 2nd Q Bertelson fumbled and then next series got called for holding

3rd Q Shack lost a fumble -- the Harold Jackson got that 73-yard play ...and Mack was called for motion and then Shack threw a pick 2 plays later.

Then both Jack Youngblood and Fred Dryer call for offsides. Freddie felt it was a bad call, he was moving when Tarkenton's feet were moving, but he beat tackle so bad it LOOKED like offside.

On Youngblood's I think that is when he was trying to get a penalty on Vikings TE. He said Voight moved and then he touched him or something...but ref didn't call it though they were ticky-tacky with Mack/Curran call. Bud Grant, after the game said something like, "TEs are allowed to move, Youngblood didn't know the rule" or something ... (I could be wrong on that one ... that could have been 1976)

Rams finally got a TD in 4th Q and Jack Youngblood tried to take over the game, got Yary to hold him, then he got a sack to force a punt.

But then the Rams ran McCutcheon who was stuffed, then Shack got sack ob back-to-back plays and Rams never got ball back after that -- Elmo had a DPI on Vikings last drive..to kind of seal the deal.

Rams called for 7 penalties, Vikings just two (both holding by Yary on Youngblood)

Rams lost 3 fumbles and threw 2 picks

Rams forced 5 fumbles but only got 2 of them --- so Rams defense was doing well ...they also picked off a ball (Stukes)

but 14-10 loss ... As bad as Rams played amazing it was just a 4-point loss.
