In order for the trade to be validated. But I think they're going to be correct about him. Which is to say I believe they will hit on his selection to include the trade cost, and there's a few reasons for this:
1. His tape, some of which I did not like, showed a player who had to adjust to the SEC schedule. But he did in fact adjust.
2. His work ethic seems to be top-notch. This backs up the expectation that he will adjust to this level.
3. He was a force on the best defense in college ball last season. He was also the best player during Senior Bowl week and game.
4. He comes in with a player who he has great rhythm and feel for playing next to. This insinuates he will play 3T, well, that and his short arms. But it is likely we see both those guys over the left side of opposing OL.
5. He will be playing with strong talent around him. It's not as good as coming in with a stud like AD drawing all the protections, however last year's addition Turner is a heck of a lineman and Young is a hard worker going into year two. Only question I have is who's that other lineman in the five man fronts, probably Brown early on, but either way the talent is there so it's not like he is being asked to carry a line.
Chalk it all up and I think this dude is going to be another stud Rams DL in a long line of them, and hopefully he plays for us a long time.
