Makes me wonder: With this kind of alate draft windfall at the C-G spots, how long will it be before we move Avila back out to LG and have Limmer playing center?
I've only seen one Limmer play on tape, the one in the article where he stands his guy up, locks him, and doesn't quit using his feet. IGood, solid fundamental football and he wasn't about to be overpowered. I can't tell how much more he knows about his craft but if he's coachable that stuff is learnable. I'm concerned about that part of his game when transitioning to the pro level as big muscle college players quite often tend to overely on power and can get away with it in college.
With his fast run time, I'm projecting images of him and Avila pulling on run plays. Run the sweep, clear the bodies.
Or zone blocking - watch Corum make the first inside cut.
One thing for sure based on what litle I've seen: In pass pro he
shall not be moved.
With the Rams he will get the right coaching - and everything he learns will make him that much more valuable, or should I szy dangerous.
How far he goes is up to him.
