When Phil Olsen left as a free agent and signed with the Broncos...the Rams got two 1976 draft picks (3rd & 6th) as compensation and the rights to Otto Stowe...
The sixth was used on RB Art Best...but there seems to be a bit of mystery regarding the 3rd round pick...The Rams only had one third round pick in 1976 and they spent that on Jackie Slater...Was that the comp pick for Phil Olsen? Just curious...I've tried to dig it out...but I can't find anything...
